Wiretapped - Computer Security Software etc.

Wiretapped has a number of mirror sites around the world, and by default we try and make sure you get the quickest downloads by using geographical DNS for Europe (RIPE) and Asia/Pacific (APNIC) on our www.mirrors.wiretapped.net hostname. Despite this, you may sometimes find it quicker to connect directly to and download from a local FTP site. We've provided the addresses of these below.

    What's listed here is a piece of the tinydns (djbdns) config, with the Geographical blocks denoting "where" certain IP addresses are located, based on allocations from RIPE (Europe) and APNIC (Asia Pacific). In particular, Europe is covered by most of the entries at the top, and APNIC's area by the smaller section further down.
    European lookups for www.mirrors.wiretapped.net get the European site and our 100Mb colo in Sydney as a round robin. Asia Pacific lookups just get the two Sydney sites. The rest of the world (denoted by "ex") get a round robin on the two Sydney sites and the European one.
